14 point is a pretty thick card stock. We offer a choice between gloss and uncoated finish. You should refer to our Free Paper Swatch deck to get a feel of the paper. The 14 point uncoated is a very nice paper and has not gloss feel or look at all. If you like glossy then select the 14pt Gloss and make sure to select the UV coating to get a glossy look and feel to the card.

UV Coating provides a protective high gloss coating or matte coating after printing. Available as an option with the 14pt Paper. Do not select this option if you need to write something on the card, as the surface is slick and cannot be written on (other than a permanent marker).
Note: We highly recommend that you select 14pt paper with UV Coating option if your artwork has heavy ink coverage, as it protects the ink from scratches or smudges.

40 micron Spot UV finishing adds a clear, glossy coating to selected areas of printed material, such as logos, text, images, or patterns. The raised shine creates contrast against a matte surface, highlighting important design elements and giving business cards, postcards, brochures, packaging, and other printed products a premium look and feel.

How to prepare artwork for Spot UV?

To create your Business Cards with Spot UV, you'll need separate files for the main artwork that will have a full-color design image and for the special Spot UV artwork where the UV will be applied to your design. Click here to view the instructions for preparing your print ready artwork.
